We are proud to share that Dean Adkins, Owner and Managing Director of Selway Joyce, has been named a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category at the English Veterans Awards 2026.

The awards celebrate veterans who have made a significant contribution to business and their communities following their transition from the Armed Forces. For Dean, the recognition reflects a journey that began with service in the British Army and has led to the ownership and leadership of a growing construction consultancy.

Dean joined the British Army in 2005, serving with The Royal Welsh Regiment and completing operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving the Armed Forces in 2012, he began building a career in construction, combining full-time project work with further academic and professional development.

In 2023, Dean acquired Selway Joyce and has since led the business through a period of sustained growth. Under his leadership, the consultancy has expanded its team, strengthened its services and increased its presence across the prime residential, heritage, education and luxury hospitality sectors.

This is Dean’s second major recognition within the veteran business community this year, following his selection as a finalist and subsequent runner-up in the Entrepreneur of the Year category at the British Forces in Business Awards.

The awards are held in support of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Congratulations, Dean. We are incredibly proud to see your leadership, determination and achievements recognised once again.
